As women, many of us can say we often dreamt of the perfect wedding day, even as little girls... We dress up and pretend to get married... 

We watch movies like:  "wedding planner" & "Bride wars"... 

We plan our weddings WAY in advance... we work HARD... Every detail WELL thought of... Then we often spend nights doing invitations, favours... wrapping lace around vases... pinning anything and everything on secret boards on pinterest... etc. etc...  and then... months (that feel like YEARS) later...  the day comes... everything that we worked so hard for, comes together... and it's often over in a FLASH... 

As a former bride myself, I totally UNDERSTAND the UTTER significance of this day... and capturing YOUR day well enough to justify every minute of hard work YOU, as the bride has ploughed into it... 

As a wedding photographer, my absolute MAIN objective is to make the bride look as stunning as she is and feel on her big day!!  :) ...

I love to laugh with her, have fun with her, and try to make her as relaxed as I possibly can...

Lets be honest... We can sometimes be like a beautiful duck on a pond... moving gracefully... but kicking like crazy under the water... determined to make sure every detail of the day goes to plan... so I try to make sure I capture the Graceful... the beautiful...  I try to capture the 'above the water moments'

So you're wondering what happens when you've booked me?

This is where our journey starts... 

We first discuss your exciting engagement shoot, if you choose to have one... and we book it in! 

I use this wonderful session to not only provide you with lovely pictures in a location of your choice, but this session will certainly show you what you can expect with your couple portrait session on your wedding day... 

I also find this so important as it gives us a chance to meet, and get to know each other before your big day...

I love for my couples to feel comfortable with me on the wedding day, and this session helps so much!! 

now... Onto your wedding day... 

I just love weddings... I normally cry at weddings... (I promise to do this quietly... rather than the loud sobbing cry I do when watching soppy movies :) 

Having a photographer with you all day could possibly be the person that will be the closest to you all throughout your day, aside from your newly wed partner... 

So I would love to make this easier for you by being there as a friend, a helper, and someone that is on YOUR side!  Someone that is Fighting to make you look your best, and helping you in any way I can.  I will do my best to get the shots we both want and need, whilst being a part of your day, and making you feel at ease as best I can. 

I will be with you for about 8 hours on the day...  Capturing the pictures from Bridal Prep, right through to the cutting of the cake, and I cover a couple of Dances... 
 

I am happy to stay to take pictures of the speeches, but often disappear for a little while during the meal, as not many people enjoy having their photo taken whilst eating, right?    

I love Natural light...  So if you like my style, and are also a fan of bright, natural light pictures, can I please ask that you have a think when it comes to your lighting, as candle light at night sometimes just isn't enough...  even though I'm a huge fan of candles, of course :) 

On your wedding day, there are going to be pictures that you NEED to have that might feel less natural (those exciting group shots, for example), but we'd like to keep granny happy, right?  

(for these shots I request a specific list of names, so we can make sure we don't miss out on those all important pictures that we would like to hand out to family members afterward) 

Mainly, my love is for the natural looking pictures....

so, Basically... what my style means, and how it is slightly different to Journalism photography:  

I help curate the story of the day... so as much as I capture the natural, I help where there is direction required... so panic Not...

If you're not a natural poser, or just don't feel natural in front of the camera... it is my job to help you with that :)  

After the wedding I provide you with all your beautifully edited pictures in an amazing online photo gallery, that you're welcome to Download, share, and print as you please. 

I have a wonderful Album option that you're welcome to add to your package as well.  (This is an optional extra)

As your photographer, I love to capture special moments during your big day... 

The Love Story... In addition to just capturing what plays out during your day,     I find it really important to spend some intentional time with you as husband and wife...

Pictures that are natural, yet creative, can often take some time...    Please make sure you allow enough time for this, after your group shots.  

I always advise (roughly 30-45 minutes for group shots - depending on how extensive your list of family pictures are), and then at least 45 - 60 minutes for your portrait session.  

It's often nice to take some time out during the wedding to have intimate pictures of just you and your partner as newly weds, away from the busyness of your day.

This also gives you some breathing space, away from guests to enjoy each other for a little while, whilst I capture your love.

This is such a fun session, in which you get a glimpse of what your portrait session will be like on the wedding day.

What a magical time... (minus the sleepless nights, back ache and running to the loo constantly, right :) Only kidding...

I either come to your home, and shoot them in their most natural environment, or I invite you to join me at my home...I crank up the heating for your baby, I give you coffee, you sit, and relax, and we chat, whilst I work with your babe, to capture these precious moments and details whilst they are so so tiny and beautiful...

I have kids of my own, so know how important it is to create and capture special memories, that will last a lifetime... 

My sessions last for about an hour... but if we need more time, I take more time... we totally work around you and your kids... 

This is the one time the kids definitely get to rule the show... as happy kids, make for happy parents and happy pictures... so we jump if they want to jump... we run if they want to run... and we make sure the session is FUN! 

For this very reason, I LOVE doing my family sessions outdoors if we can... but also have some backdrops, so happy to do an indoor studio shoot, if need be... If we do an outdoor shoot, we do it at a location of your choice... Or I am happy to choose the spot, if you prefer...

The purpose of these Photoshoot days are to offer an affordable way for families to have their photographs done. 
How it works: 
I spend some time with your Little ones. 
Depending on the weather, it will either be an outdoor shoot, or it will be a shoot, using some modern backdrops, at an indoor location.   
We capture some lovely memories, and then, as soon as I can,
I provide you with a password protected gallery containing all your colour corrected images, in both Colour and black & white, and you are welcome to download them straight onto your computer, have them printed,
pass them on to your family, and add them to facebook.

I have very limited slots available, so I will operate on a first come first serve basis.

So... as I am a wife, mother, and ultimately, a home maker... 

I (secretly, or not so secretly... now that I've confessed) like to spend some of my nights on Pinterest,  pinning to a 'home' board, that's completely ridiculous, and has so many different styles, that it would never even work in one type of house, and then, I continue to bore my husband endlessly as I take him through what my ideal home should look like... and this quite often changes on a regular basis... Who doesn't do this right? 

So... when I was asked to photograph for a local Estate Agency, I was so excited, as this combines many of my passions into one exciting job.  

What a privilege.... Doing what I love ... in every way... Not only do I get to meet the most exciting and lovely people, but I get to photograph their stunning homes... it's like living out my pinterest dream :) So, if houses are your thing... I'm with you!!
